Farmers Are Willing to Take Action

*“Almost 94% of farmers and ranchers see improving soil health as a top priority, while 87% prioritize improving on-farm resilience.”*¹

The study also outlines that a majority of Canadian farmers and ranchers (76%) report being impacted by severe weather events in the past five years, which urges them to take action.

Sara Maranda-Gauvin, Director of Operations at Regeneration Canada, describes the situation as follows: *“In recent years, the farming community clearly demonstrated a willingness to act against climate change and bolster its resilience. It’s clear to everyone that we need to take action.” *

Join the Movement

Sara Maranda-Gauvin adds that farmers who adopt healthy soil practices not only help mitigate climate change but also increase their agricultural and economic resilience. In today’s context, this resilience is key for farms to thrive.

“We encourage farmers to adopt and uphold regenerative practices that are grounded in their own reality and concretely work for them,” she explains.
