In Saint-Gervais-de-Bellechasse, Caprijol Inc. has made it its mission to provide its herd with one of the best possible environments. For Marie-Pier Nadeau and Jean-Philippe Jolin, co-owners and second-generation operators, animal welfare is not an option; it’s a priority. This approach, focused on the health and well-being of the herd, ensures high-quality milk production that is well recognized in the industry. Soon, they will have over 2,000 goats, including 1,400 in lactation, reaching an annual production of over 1,200,000 litres of milk. Caprijol embodies a way of practicing sustainable agriculture where discipline, passion, and respect for animals go hand in hand every day.

It’s in this context that Caprijol decided to install two Britespan domes on their farm, a choice that perfectly reflects their farming philosophy. In 2022, a first Apex-model dome, measuring 60 x 104 feet, was erected for the storage of 1,500 straw bales. Built on concrete blocks and a gravel base, this first structure offers impressive storage capacity, securing the herd’s annual needs. Impressed by this initial project, they went on to install a second dome, an Atlas model measuring 80 x 144 feet, to house 600 young goats. This structure offers the animals a bright, spacious, and comfortable space, providing them with an optimal quality of life in an environment where animal welfare standards are a top priority. Without costly or complex mechanisms, these facilities perfectly meet the farm’s need for simplicity and low costs. They will transform the daily management of operations while supporting a 30% increase in the company’s annual revenue.

Behind these projects is the expertise of Équipements Agrobul Inc. and Agrobul MégaStructure, authorized Britespan distributors for over three years. Based in Montérégie and active in Estrie and several other regions in Quebec, the company has built a solid reputation thanks to its expertise in soft-covered steel structures, personalized consulting services, and involvement in the farming community. Former farmers themselves, the owners bring over 30 years of experience and agricultural training, having worked with various types of livestock. Their team provides personalized and expert support, guiding clients from the choice of building and foundation type all the way to installation and construction. Holding a general contractor license, they also offer turnkey project management, overseeing all phases of construction with efficiency and without unnecessary delays or complications. For Caprijol Inc., working with Équipements Agrobul Inc. and Agrobul MégaStructure meant choosing partners capable of offering tailored and innovative solutions to build a sustainable and thriving future for their operation. A decision that proved right!
