Founded in 2009 by Maryse Bertrand and Peter Pfister, Ferme Pfister steadily expanded its operations over the years before incorporating in 2018. Now farming an impressive 700 acres, the company specializes in cereals and large-scale crops, producing winter wheat, canola, soybeans, and even quinoa. At Ferme Pfister Inc., efficiency is at the core of every practice. This commitment is reflected in their equipment choices, carefully selected with the constant goal of bringing every acre of land to its full potential.

Land management is one of the key pillars in achieving optimal yields. Precision levelling, with a minimum 0.5% slope to prevent water from pooling, helps maximize usable cropland. By covering rocky outcrops with at least 30 centimetres of soil, the farm ensures a more even field surface and reduces harvest losses. To carry out this work, the operation chose a Bearclaw dump trailer, purchasing the 14-ton model. This trailer will be used to move soil from field edges to rocky areas, which are then smoothed using 3D software for high-precision grading. It will also be used to haul roots and stumps in areas being cleared. The farm selected this 14-ton Bearclaw model for its durability and cost-effectiveness, made possible by the absence of a tailgate, which also eliminates any risk of snagging during manoeuvres.

Behind this acquisition is Teamco, a well-established company operating in Quebec, Ontario, the Maritimes, and even Japan since 1978. It is known for designing, manufacturing, distributing, and servicing high-performance, durable agricultural equipment. Already recognized for the quality of its products for decades, the company is now strengthening its position by becoming the official Bearclaw distributor for the entire province of Quebec. This new addition further strengthens an already diverse product offering focused on field performance. Bearclaw equipment stands out for its reinforced design and superior durability, delivering exceptional longevity for agricultural producers. At Teamco, a team of about thirty employees is guided by a commitment to outstanding customer service, a deep understanding of producers’ real-world needs, and a drive to provide reliable, long-lasting solutions, helping businesses like Ferme Pfister Inc. keep pushing forward.
