Driven by a desire to rebuild more sustainably, the family set out to modernize their facilities to support the farm’s new direction. Instead of replicating the past, Gérald and Ludovick focused on state-of-the-art buildings that combine strength, performance, and technical innovation. They chose Britespan domes—the Epic model for the barn and the Atlas 63PL10 model for hay storage—both featuring durable polyethylene covers and sturdy steel frames designed to withstand harsh weather. These structures are especially valued for their low risk of fire and mechanical failure. Their new cold barn is versatile, durable, and eco-friendly, standing out for its natural light and large air volume. Its efficient ventilation prevents moisture buildup, maintaining a stable temperature despite fluctuations in the outdoor climate. The dome thus ensures a healthy and comfortable environment for the animals, which are two essential factors for supporting their growth and reducing the incidence of disease.
Behind this innovative project is the team at Équipements Agrobul Inc. and Agrobul MégaStructure. With their extensive agricultural experience, the team provides both technical support and human-centered guidance, deeply rooted in the realities of the field. Their support goes beyond the sale and adapts to the evolving needs of farming families over time. Thanks to a versatile design crafted by the Agrobul team, this new building will be able to grow with the future goals of the Boudriau family, serving as a perfect example of what it means to plan and take action for the next generation of farmers. For Gérald and Ludovick, this investment is more than just a material upgrade: it’s a forward-looking decision, a way to turn challenges into opportunities, and a testament to the fact that in agriculture, the future belongs to those who rise again.
