A Cutting-Edge Covered Feeding Area at Ferme BROVIN Inc.

Founded in 2017, Ferme BROVIN Inc. was born from the shared dream of Caroline Brodeur and Vincent Deslauriers to build a family business where ethical livestock farming and product quality guide every decision. As the first generation shaping this project, their commitment to sustainable agriculture earned them the Prix de la relève agricole from the MRC des Maskoutains in 2020, recognizing the remarkable quality of their practices. With a herd that includes 80 grass-fed cattle, 1,000 starter grain-fed calves, and 350 finishing calves, they produce exceptionally high-quality meat, free of hormones and antibiotics. Alongside their three children, Caroline and Vincent represent a passionate new generation of farmers, determined to build a sustainable and inspiring model for future generations.

To support their growth and improve winter management, Ferme BROVIN recently installed a brand new covered feeding area, a 60-foot-wide Britespan Epic Overshot dome, the first of its kind assembled in Quebec in October 2025. Their goal was clear: to offer their animals a healthier, more functional environment during the winter months while facilitating the essential veterinary procedures performed on the herd. This new model stands out for its polyethylene fabric covering, which lets in abundant natural light without requiring any electricity. Quick to assemble and robust, the structure blends harmoniously into the farm landscape and meets all their expectations. For Caroline and Vincent, it is a solution perfectly suited to their reality: versatile, accessible facilities designed for both animal well-being and everyday efficiency.

To carry out this innovative project, Ferme BROVIN chose a team they trust: Les Équipements Agrobul Inc. and the team from Construction John Buhlmann.
