In February 2019, a veterinarian from Saint-Germain-de-Grantham in Centre-du-Québec named Jonathan Lehouiller founded DMV GenetiQ Services, a private bull semen collection centre for farmers seeking to improve the genetics of their herd.

Unlike similar companies in the province, DMV GenetiQ Services gives breeders full control over the genetics and semen of their bulls. Breeders pay for services including boarding, health tests, and bull semen collection and freezing. If they wish to put it on the market, this step falls into their hands.

Having gained recognition beyond borders, DMV GenetiQ Services sought to gain efficiency and expand into the Canadian and global markets. The company’s president hired Constructions JC Élite to redesign its office based on recent growth and construct a new farm building to accommodate 130 bulls and harvest, then store 500,000 doses of semen. Thanks to these major renovations, the building footprint was increased by 17,500 square feet.

Constructions JC Élite is known for its stellar collaboration with all trades and ability to meet client needs. It is worth noting that Alexandre Joubert, president of Constructions JC Élite, was drawn to carpentry and woodworking from a young age as he watched his father expand buildings on the family farm. He learned early on that buildings could be altered and converted into more efficient workspaces. Alexandre is aware of the issues faced by farmers, many of whom are quite surprised by how well he understands their needs! Moreover, Constructions JC Élite’s other president Mikaël Catudal also worked for farmers in the past.

The company has an excellent reputation, so much that it has already grown to 30 employees despite only existing for 10 years. Its new head office—which covers an area of 92,000 square feet—is located in Roxton Falls. Anyone in the Montérégie, Centre-du-Québec, Estrie and Montréal South Shore regions can benefit from Constructions JC Élite’s expertise to construct and renovate not only farm buildings, but also residential or commercial structures.
